Wild Child Forest School is a small social enterprise and there is an investment of time and energy into administration, managing information, and processing payment at our end that needs to be accounted for. If you would like us to cancel your child’s registration, please let us know as soon as possible.
As of February 1st, 2022: If you cancel your registration at any time we retain a 10% registration fee. 6.25% helps cover the cost of ACTIVE Network fees and the remaining 3.75% helps cover the work that goes into registration and administration.
If cancellation occurs before 4 weeks of the start of the program, there is no charge in addition to the 10% registration fee.*
If cancellation occurs less than 4 weeks before the start of a program, there is a $50 cancellation fee in addition to the 10% registration fee.**
If cancellation occurs less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the program, your entire payment is forfeited.
*If registration is launched by Wild Child Forest School less than 4 weeks before the program start date, only the 10% fee applies for cancellations made more than 2 weeks in advance of the program start date.
**For March Break 2022 exclusively, only the 10% registration fee will apply if a registration is cancelled before March 5th. If a cancellation is made between March 6th – March 13th a fee of $25 will be charged. If a cancellation is made from March 14th – March 18th the entire payment is forfeited.
COVID-19 Cancellation Policy
Important note about cancellation insurance: When registering for any Wild Child programs, you do NOT need to purchase COVID-19 cancellation insurance from ACTIVE Network. If we have to cancel programs due to COVID-19, we will refund the fees for all cancelled weeks. We cannot issue refunds for ACTIVE Network insurance policies if they are purchased.
If Wild Child Forest School programs have to be cancelled because of COVID-19 closures, restrictions, and/or regulations all fees for the cancelled weeks*** will be refunded. If your child(ren) has to stay home because of COVID-19 symptoms or because they have been in close contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information on receiving a refund for any dates that were missed. Refunds will NOT be issued for non-essential travel outside of Nova Scotia. If you have any questions on our COVID-19 refund policies, please contact the program coordinator at email@example.com.
***For example, if programs are fully cancelled before the start date, all program fees will be refunded. If programs are cancelled after two weeks of programming has taken place, you will be refunded for the remaining weeks. Please note that registrations made on or after June 2nd, 2021 will be refunded the program fees (for sessions missed due to COVID-19) minus a 10% registration fee.
